Sewanee Engagement Session Photos | University of the South | TN Engagement Photographers
Hands down, my favorite time of day to shoot is in the evening, that "golden hour" time just before sunset when the natural light floods my lens just perfectly. Light at that time of the day feels soft, warm, multi-dimensional … honestly, it brings an element of magic with it. That is what it was like last September at the University of the South in Sewanee when I shot this engagement session for Daniel and Hannah.
The campus is one of the most beautiful college campuses in all of the US, and it served as a perfect backdrop. It offered plenty of interesting backgrounds -- from buildings made of local stone with arched Gothic doorways to a grass-lined quad bursting with still green trees and even a bright pink Azalea.
But what's even better about this session than the location is the love that Daniel and Hannah have for one another. Just look at how their faces light up when they snuggle together! They were great at taking my direction, and as a result, their photos have a very candid feel and yet Daniel and Hannah never had to worry about what to do or how to pose.
Are you thinking about an engagement session, but worried maybe about feeling awkward in front of the camera? No need to fret. Just email me and I'll take care of the rest!
